Transmission occurs during close contacts when small droplets reach mucosal surfaces, namely the mouth, nose or eyes. Since then, there have been remarkable reports of ocular colonizationof the SARS-CoV-2. The knowledge of ocular signs of human Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) infections are still remain limited in the literature. However, some clinical entities such as conjunctivitis, anterior uveitis, retinitis, and optic neuritis have been recorded in animal models. In this study, the current evidence suggesting possible human coronavirus infection of ocular tissue is reviewed for all health care workers.
