Case Report: Extravasation Developed at Vincristine Administration

Extravasation is one of the most important complication may encounter during the implementation of chemotherapy drugs. Especially for children peripheral intravenous chemotherapy implementation in terms of extravasation is very risky situation for children.
A 10 years old female patient with the diagnosis of Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, 33 days of hospitalization in the treatment of chemotherapy, extravasation is developed by intravenous vincristine administration. Extravasation injury developed in the right antecubital area, complete remission was achieved after 8 weeks.
Although the case is an example of the administration error chemotherapy agents, draw attention to the direct intervention of extravasation and emphasize the prolongation of the healing process, care is presented under the guidance of nursing diagnoses.

Vinkristin Uygulamasında Gelişen Ektravazasyon: Bir Olgu Sunumu

Ekstravazasyon, kemoterapi ilaçlarının uygulanması sırasında karşılaşabilecek en önemli komplikasyonlardan biridir. Özellikle çocuklar için intravenöz yoldan kemoterapi uygulaması ekstravazasyon riskini artıran bir durumdur.
Akut Lenfoblastik Lösemi tanısıyla izlenen 10 yaşında kız olguda, kemoterapi tedavisi sırasında hastaneye yatışının 33. Gününde, intravenöz vinkristin uygulaması sonucu ekstravazasyon gelişmiştir. Sağ antekübital bölgede gelişen ekstravazasyon hasarında, tam iyileşme 8 hafta sonra sağlanmıştır.
Olgu kemoterapi ajanlarının uygulama hatasına örnek olmakla birlikte, ekstravazasyonda doğru müdahaleye dikkat çekmek ve iyileşme sürecindeki uzamayı vurgulamak amacıyla hemşirelik tanıları rehberliğindeki bakımı sunulmuştur.
