INTRODUCTION: This study was done in order to determine breastfeeding self-efficacy of the mothers to admit to the pediatric outpatient clinic of the public hospital and having the baby who is 0/6months and examine relation other factors with breastfeeding self-efficacy.
METHODS: This is a defining study. The study was done with 107 mothers to admit to the pediatric outpatient clinic of the public hospital in Konya and having the baby who is 0/6months. Results were got by using public surveys and breastfeeding self-efficacy scale. Kruskal-wallis variance analysis, mann whitney test, variance analysis being one side (ANOVA), t test and spearman correlation analyses were used in order to analyze the data.
RESULTS: It was established that the mothers participating in the research are 26,40+4,77 years old, %45,8 of them graduated from high school or university, %40,19 of them have one child and %67 of them don’t work. It was realized that there is an expressive result on the mothers being graduated from high school or over (62,77±8,02), working (62,7±7,53), having 3 children (64,47±5,56) when examining breastfeeding self-efficacy scale’s marking average (p<0,05). By using breastfeeding self-efficacy scale’s marking average, it was seen that there is a weak and positive relation between the age, number of the pregnancy of the mothers and the age of the baby and there is a middling and positive relation between mother’s number of the birth and the children being alive. (p<0,05).
DISCUSSION AND CONCLUSION: It was determined that level of the breastfeeding self-efficacy can be affected by the age, education,working condition,number of the pregnancy and birth,number of the child and child being alive of the mother and age of the baby (week).

GİRİŞ ve AMAÇ: Bu çalışma bir kamu hastanesinin çocuk polikliniğe başvuran 0-6 ay arası bebeğe sahip annelerin emzirme öz-yeterlilik durumlarını belirlemek ve ilişkili faktörlerin emzirme öz-yeterlilik ile ilişkisini incelemek amacıyla yapıldı.
YÖNTEM ve GEREÇLER: Tanımlayıcı ve ilişi arayıcı bir çalışmadır. Çalışma Konya ili bir kamu hastanesi çocuk polikliniğe başvuran 0-6 ay arası bebeğe sahip olan 107 annelerle yapıldı. Veriler anket formu ve emzirme öz-yeterlilik ölçeği (EÖYÖ) kullanılarak toplandı. Verilerin analizinde kruskal-wallis varyans analizi, mann whitney u testi, tek yönlü varyans analizi (ANOVA), t testi ve spearman kolerasyon analizleri kullanıldı.
BULGULAR: Araştırmaya katılan annelerin yaş ortalamaları 26,40±4,77, %45,8’i lise ve üzeri mezun, %40,2’si 1 çocuğa sahip, %67’sinin çalışmadığı saptandı. EÖYÖ puan ortalaması lise ve üzeri mezun (62,77±8,02), çalışan (62,7±7,53), 3 çocuğa sahip (64,47±5,56) annelerde anlamlı sonuç olduğu görüldü (p<0,05). EÖYÖ puan ortalaması ile annelerin yaşı, gebelik sayısı ve bebeğin yaşı (hafta) arasında zayıf ve pozitif yönlü, doğum sayısı ve yaşayan çocuk arasında orta düzey ve pozitif yönlü ilişki olduğu saptandı (p<0,05).
TARTIŞMA ve SONUÇ: Emzirme öz-yeterlilik düzeylerinin annenin yaşı, eğitim durumu, çalışma durumu, gebelik sayısı, doğum sayısı, çocuk sayısı, yaşan çocuk sayısı ve bebeğin yaşından (hafta) etkilendiği belirlendi.
